Dear Your Excellency Mr. President
The Diaspora Community is greatly thankful for the appointment of a fellow diaspora member to the esteemed position of Deputy Ambassador to the UK, Amb Bishop Dr. WARUI at St James Court London.
This is indeed a great recognition by your administration of the immense potential that the diaspora community has in leadership and other spheres of the Kenyan economy .
Indeed, the diaspora community has been pivotal in support of the kenyan economy as evidenced by the ksh 4 billion dollars remmitances by the diaspora community last year
These remittances are largely driven by your policies that include the affordable housing initiative commonly referred to as the BOMA YAGU programme and which the diaspora community can phrase it into THE BOMA YANGU NYUMBANI program.
Through various groups, the diaspora community has come together and developed various estates such as the diaspora village and the Tigoni view project in Ruaka.
In particular, the tigoni view project is comprised of more than 150 members, with the majority of this from the UK and where they have set an office at CanaryWolf, London
his project has employed more than 200 members of the local community while providing various business opportunities in supplies.
Through such projects, your Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA)that seeks to empower households and improve the local economy is well demonstrated, and indeed, the diaspora community is very much part of this agenda.
Thank you, Mr. President, for this transfomative initiatives and for the appointment of the deputy ambassador of the United Kingdom from The Diaspora Commuty.
Asante sana, Your Excellency, Sir.
